Eboracon II

It’s less than four weeks to Eboracon II. If you haven’t signed up and want to come along, please pop your details in the Google form.

And, if you are coming, it’s time to start arranging games for the day. There’s a couple of games arranged, and I know Rachel wants to run an 18xx game. Otherwise, I encourage you to set up a game or two for the day.

The first event ran well with a mix of two-player and multi-player. My suggestion is to go for the same, and try to organise shorter games – like Versailles 1919 – so we get a good mix and get to know each other. That said, it’s up to you but you probably don’t want to arrive on the day with nothing organised. I will do my best to facilitate.

Please use the organiser, email, Discord, on the BGG Guild or whatever suits you. All I ask is that you add any confirmed games to the organiser.

All the details are on the website but, a quick recap…

  • Saturday 12 April 2025
  • 10am to 8pm
  • Heslington Meeting Room, Main Street, Heslington, York, YO10 5EB

I’m providing tea, coffee and biscuits at the venue.

Future dates

After two months of chasing, I’m pleased to confirm further dates in 2025:

  • Eboracon III, Saturday 14 June, Catton Village Hall, Low Catton
  • Eboracon IV, Saturday 13 September, Stamford Bridge Village Hall

Heslington isn’t available in June; September is University Open Days which makes parking impossible. Catton is a bit out of the way but has plenty of parking and an excellent pub. Stamford Bridge has parking, lots of amenities nearby and is on a couple of bus routes. Heslington may be an option Eboracon V in November.

Happy gaming!
